We have appreciated the three days spent with Ohn and Tim, heartwarming moments, promenade away from mass tourism, off the beaten track and to a discovery of an authentic Cambodia.

Ohn, a child of the country, knows the region by heart and Tim, the voyager, relies strongly to attempts to different tourism, as close as possible to local people and far from stereotype traditional travel agencies.

A perfect stay in the Rose Apple

For our first time in Asia we didn’t know what to expect... We were advised by 2 different people to visit the Rose Apple. It's a wonderful place on a perfect location. A large room with a separated bathroom with hot water shower, television, living, etc.
It's only 2 minutes by Tuk Tuk from the Siem Reap center, and the Angkor temples are within reach.
We would very much recommend this cozy B&B to everyone!

We were very surprised about the hospitality of Tim and Ohn (and Venta the little dog). Their knowledge about Siem Reap and the rest of Cambodia helped us a lot, especially the excursion to Roulus, Kompong Phluk and Phnom Bok.
After all we had the best time in the Rose Apple during our Cambodia holiday.

Tom and I stayed in The Rose Apple for 5 days in October. We arrived from Bangkok, and Tim arranged a smooth pick-up by taxi at the border. We stayed in the largest room- which is more of a suite actually- so we could relax on the sofa and read one of the books that were available, or relax in one of the chairs on the terrace with a view on the garden. In the morning we were served a really nice breakfast in the garden. Tim and Ohn helped us with every question we had, and gave good advice on places and restaurants to visit, as well as on reliable tuk tuk drivers. Of course we visited the temples, but we also went to visit the villages on the lake (arranged and accompanied by Ohn as a guide), and did a cooking course, which were very worthwhile as well. We could also use the bikes when we wanted too, so we drove around in town with them during the day. In short, I would recommend anyone who visits Siem Reap and likes to avoid the big crowds, to stay in the Rose Apple!

Staying with Ohn and Tim for 10 days gave me the ability to develop a comfort zone in Siem Reap. Beyond a comfortable nest and puppy, I was included in any of their daily life I wanted to participate in. Excellent food, a Khmer wedding and an ability to suggest and facilitate daytrips. The West-Baray (everyone's day at the reservoir), out to Tonle Sap's stilt village and lunch with Ohn's family in Roulous were without the commercial facade of organised day trips. -Fun-
